Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009!

Quick post to say Happy New Year and to share a couple of photos from New Year's Eve. I have a great big long blog post I'm cooking up for the next few days. So this will have to get you through till then.

Photo: David Denny (Kentwood class of 88), my little brother, Brandon Berglund (KW88) and Steve Thompson (KW88).
My brother, Brandon.Took a quick, last minute trip up to Kent to surprise my brother at a party at David and Kim Denny's. Didn't get there til 10pm, after battling the elements on the drive up. (Man, I'm almost wishing for the snow back!! )

It was great to see the gang. Brandon and these boys (plus Mike Bennett) have been best friends since they were in 4th grade when we moved from Hawaii to Kent, WA. I was in 8th grade. They are a package deal, and always have been, so it's like I've grown up with 4 little brothers. They have attended all of the important, fun and memorable events in my life, from both my High School and college graduations, to my wedding and all of our fun family vacations, like weeklong trips to Whistler and Vail. I love these guys!!! And boy can they make me laugh!!! Can't believe they still pick on Steve as much as they do!!

Cancer stuff:

Tomorrow my OHSU student, from my Living with Life Threatening Diseases course, is going to take me to my 6 week CT scan appointment so she can observe and get some time to talk with me and ask me questions. I did my blood work on Wednesday, so I should be getting my CA125 results back in the next couple of days.

I have my next doctors appt. on Jan. 12th, which we'll go over the CT scan results and discuss our plan of attack. Chemo will resume that same day. :(

Thanks for all of the love and support in 2008! I love you all!!!!!!
